Phyllis Brodny was born in Boston. She moved to Chicago in 1959 bringing with her a considerable interest in visual art. During the printmaking craze in the 1960’s she shared her ideas by creating etchings, serigraphs, and a smattering of photographs. Using a camera for image making was not, therefore, a big leap.

Her art has been exhibited extensively in one woman, group, and invitational shows as well as purchased for corporate and private collections.
